Okuma mainly employs our own Okuma OSP CNC system. So, for the decades we've been supplying long lasting machines around the globe, we've had a lifetime support policy and a real ability to actually deliver spare parts for our machines and controls.
It's also been our policy to hold significant spare parts of both mechanical (including main spindle sets) and changeover electrical parts and assemblies.
Our relationship with Fanuc is similar in that we have a product supply agreement with Fanuc to supply the Robocut EDM Wire machines (in Australia) and the local Fanuc capacity compliments our field activities for some limited number of Okuma machines that are optionally equipped with Fanuc CNC systems.khoyne_crop.
Again, it's important to know where you stand regarding support and spare parts when you invest in machinery expected to last for years and years.

Our customers expect Okuma to guarantee access to trained technicians in both Mechanical and Electrical field service. So, we do.
Our engineers possess the qualifications and licensing that brings knowledge-based skills and experience to our business and to our customers.
Servicing Okuma machines of all ages not only depends on the skills our Service Engineering team possess, but on Okuma's ability to provide and fit original equipment spare parts for both machine and Okuma's own OSP CNC system for even our earliest machines. Some machines are more than 35 years old and continue to work hard to this day. All achieve many, many multiples of Return On Investment.

Okuma invests in highly qualified and experienced Applications Engineers. Their role is to train and assist our customers in safely deriving the maximum performance and benefit from their investments in CNC Machines, whether old or new, multifunction, turning, milling, grinding or EDM Wire.
Again, our policy is to guarantee access to Applications Engineering and with all new installations afforded 12 months unlimited applications support.
Beyond the on-board CNC system fitted to machines, our applications group, by company policy, work closely with our customers who wish to integrate CAM systems. Okuma recommends our own ADMAC System.
We encourage our customers to contact us for our recommendations regarding CAM providers.

Our multi-million dollar investment in spare parts stock with our repair facilities are most important for not only our customers and their machine maintenance needs but for our skilled employees as well.
Both Okuma Australia and Okuma New Zealand hold the documentary detail, option specifications, parts listing, electrical and software specification and past service history for EVERY Okuma machine imported new into Australia or New Zealand since 1975. We have a complete reference library for all machines.
Our Melbourne Technical Centre staff members are complimented by Okuma Japan representatives as the permanent link to our head office and technical support.
We have a comprehensive milling spindle repair and exchange program based at our Melbourne Technical Centre. Okuma has the ability to repair all Okuma spindles to within Okuma factory specifications. Repairs are carried out in our Spindle clean room where we can accommodate a complete headstock and spindle assembly of up to 2.2 tonnes in weight.
There is NO LIMITATION to the assembly repairs Okuma will undertake on any Okuma machine tool. This is our lifetime support policy.
The skills and experience of our service engineers, whose knowledge of Okuma technology has been acquired over years of combining technical training with learning experiences, enhance these facilities significantly for our customers.

A key part of Okuma's responsibility comes in our delivering quality safety, operation, programming and maintenance training.
Okuma sets no time bar or limit on training. We know when operators are competent to safely take over the operation and programming of an Okuma machine and that time taken can vary.
Our experienced Applications Engineers engaged in customer training will monitor progress, set the pace and regularly report progress to management.
Again, our training is available for operators on Okuma and Fanuc Robocut machines of every age and model.
