Australia’s premier manufacturing solutions event held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre during May 2023 was a great success with an unprecedented 15,914 visitors.
Okuma Australia’s stand at AMW2023 was outstanding, putting a spotlight on the future of manufacturing by demonstrating the latest Okuma lathes, machining centres, multitasking machines and automation plus IOT Connectivity Solutions with the Okuma Connect Plan. All the Okuma machines were cutting metal with Okuma Application Engineers on hand to demonstrate each machine’s features and cutting prowess.

The many visitors that passed through the Okuma stand witnessed the global connection and strength of the Okuma brand with the opportunity to meet with three senior representatives from Okuma Japan, Mr Yamamoto (Executive Director – Domestic and Global Sales), Mrs Takamatsu (Manager - Export Department) and Mr Chiyonobu (Assistant Manager - Export Department) and also our Okuma liaison engineer, Mr Shimizu who resides in Melbourne.

Mr Yamamoto commented, “I have attended many exhibitions throughout my career but this was the first in Australia. The Okuma stand was outstanding and represented our brand well. I enjoyed meeting our customers to understand more about their requirements and how we can support them further.”
We had the privilege of hosting 50+ Okuma customers at an exclusive Cocktail event. It was a great opportunity for everyone to relax, connect and socialise with other prominent Australian manufacturers who value the Okuma brand.
Okuma Australia and New Zealand teams came together for a company dinner to celebrate the achievements and successes over the last several years.
